Born in Belgium(1959), Martin Margiela studied at Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts along with the legendary avantgarde fashion collective the Antwerp Six. He was a freelance designer for 5 years after graduation and then worked for Jean Paul Gaultier for two years (1985-87) before deciding to strike out on his own.

The first collection under his own label was presented in 1988. Martin Margiela is a master of deconstruction and reconstruction of garments and we are proud to carry line 10, 11, 14 & 22 for men and line 6 & 22 for women.
